On 16th and 17th May trustees of the Cambrian Mountains Society manned a stand at the Royal Welsh Spring Festival in the showground at Llanelwedd.
There was a very encouraging interest shown by members of the public and we had many conversations with visitors to the show about the work of the Society and the potential threats to and opportunities for the Cambrian Mountains area.
We welcome the new members who joined us at the show. It was good to see that those interested included not only residents of the Cambrian Mountains but also visitors from other parts of Wales and further afield. This was a very rewarding two days and an excellent opportunity to increase public awareness of the Society and its work. It was also a welcome chance to talk to current members of the Society and colleagues in other conservation organisations.
