CMS members’ walk September 2014

The September walk will be led by Malcolm Tunley and will be focussed on Moel y Llyn a high point on the western edge of the Cambrians, north  west of Pumlumon and east of Talybont. Like several lakes in the mountains, the lake at Moel y Llyn is associated with ancient folk tales or some sort of magic. The start is at Bwlch y Garreg at the track junction for Anglers’ Retreat on the mountain road from Talybont to Nant y Moch (some members may approach from the Ponterwyd A44 end of the mountain road). Meet at Grid Ref SN723909 for a 10.00 start. This is a strenuous upland walk of 8 miles to include Esgair Foel Ddu and Foel Goch returning via Caerarglwddes. If the weather/visibility is poor a lower elevation walk will be offered.
Contact details for Malcolm are Tel 01970 828565 or email mft (at) aber.ac.uk
